Starting from June 12, 2025, Amazon will implement a new policy to adjust inbound FBA shipping fees, aimed at resolving discrepancies between sellers’ declared package dimensions and actual measurements. This policy change applies to sellers using Amazon’s partnered carriers to transport inventory to Amazon fulfillment centers. If discrepancies in weight, dimensions, or freight class (where applicable) are found during transit compared to the data provided by sellers when creating shipments, the system will automatically adjust the shipping fees accordingly.
According to Amazon’s notice, if a seller declares dimensions higher than the actual values, the platform will refund the difference in shipping fees to the seller’s account; conversely, if the declared data is lower than the actual measured values, the corresponding difference will be charged. Relevant notifications will be displayed on the seller’s ‘Inbound Performance Dashboard’ for easy access to specific variances and fee adjustments.
