FOSHAN, China – A well-established inland container terminal in the Pearl River Delta has announced an official shutdown. Foshan Shunde Rongqi Port Container Terminal Co., Ltd. issued a formal suspension notice, stating that all port operations and external services will be fully terminated at 00:00 on December 1, 2026, following the company’s strategic business adjustment.
All cargo handling activities and terminal gate access will be completely closed after the deadline. The terminal will phase out its services step by step.
Key Timelines for Business Wind-down
1. November 20, 2026 (00:00)
The terminal will stop receiving new inbound containers and breakbulk cargo. No new service contracts or cargo consignments will be accepted from this date onwards.
2. November 20 – November 30, 2026 (Clearing Period)
This window is reserved for liquidation and handover. All customers must finish cargo pick-up, settle all handling, storage and stacking charges, and complete document formalities before the deadline.
3. December 1, 2026 (00:00)
The terminal will formally suspend all operations. No cargo movement will be permitted within the port area.
Customers with goods still stored at the terminal are reminded that November 30 is the critical deadline. Companies are recommended to audit inventory, outstanding jobs and outstanding payments as early as possible, and arrange trucking schedules rationally to prevent congestion and cargo detention at the last minute.
Refund Arrangement for Deposits and Security Funds
The terminal will reconcile all accounts strictly against signed contracts and operation records and issue formal billing statements to clients. Prepaid fees, deposits and security deposits will be refunded through the original payment channel after deducting outstanding payable charges. Detailed refund procedures and timelines will be notified in writing separately.
Clients need to keep all contracts, payment vouchers and business documents to facilitate subsequent refund applications.
